Good to know
Fall is the valley's best-kept secret. Crush runs through September and October, the vineyards go gold against the Blue Mountains, and the tasting rooms that were three deep in August have room at the bar. The whole ground floor is yours — your own front door, nobody to work around, and a leaf-covered garden path to walk in on. THE SUITE — SLEEPS 2 • King bedroom with a plush hybrid mattress. Guests write about this bed more than anything else here. • Full bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower, towels and toiletries stocked • Open living room: reclining leather sofa, smart TV, sitting bar with charging stations • Dining island for two, and adirondack chairs on your own patio • Private entrance, keyless arrival, all on one level — no stairs inside A REAL KITCHEN, NOT A KITCHENETTE Full-size refrigerator, electric range with a full oven, microwave, dishwasher, disposal, toaster, kettle, French press, blender, and a coffee bar with pods, cocoa and tea. Wine glasses in the cupboard. Cook a harvest dinner here — only about a third of the one-bedrooms in this market even have a dishwasher. AND A LAUNDRY ROOM In-unit washer and dryer, detergent, iron and board. Pack for three days, stay three weeks. WORK, IF YOU HAVE TO A dedicated desk with a task lamp and fast wifi, in its own corner of the bedroom. FALL, FIVE MINUTES AT A TIME • Downtown Walla Walla tasting rooms — about 10 minutes • Walla Walla University — under a mile. Whitman College — about 10 minutes • Lion's Park, rebuilt 2025 — across the street: playground, creek, duck pond, fitness path • Airport wine district — about 12 minutes • Groceries, Walmart, Home Depot — 5 minutes • Blue Mountain foliage drives — about 30 minutes east WHAT A FALL EVENING LOOKS LIKE HERE You come back from a Fall Release pour, take a last glass out to the adirondack chairs under the throw while the leaves come down, and make eggs in a real kitchen in the morning. ABOUT THE HEAT The suite is on a shared central system, so the thermostat lives upstairs. There is a portable heater in the bedroom closet — use it freely — and we will gladly bump the temperature any time you ask. We are minutes away. GOOD TO KNOW The indoor space is entirely private; the back patio is shared with the neighbouring unit. Walls are thin between units, so quiet hours are 10pm–7am. The house sits on a busy street, so some road noise carries into the bedroom. We are a shoeless house. Deciding between dates? Message us — we know the fall calendar here cold. Otherwise book: the good fall weekends go quickly.
Other Details to Note
Heating & Cooling: This is a garden-level suite on a central system shared with the units above, so we manage the thermostat rather than leaving it on the wall — it keeps the temperature fair across the house. Being upfront: the lower level runs cooler than the upstairs, especially once the weather turns. There is a space heater in the bedroom closet, and you're welcome to use it. Message or text us any time, day or night, and we'll adjust the thermostat right away. We'd rather hear from you on night one than read about it later. Arriving After Dark: Check-in is 4:00 PM, and from late October the sun is down not long after. Your check-in instructions include lit photos of the entrance and the keypad. If anything isn't clear when you pull up, call us — we're minutes away. The Street: The house faces a main road through College Place, between Home Depot and Walmart, which makes it easy to find and easy to reach. There is traffic noise audible from the bedroom. The courtyard side is quiet. The Other Suites: There are two other units in this building, rented separately and locked off from your space. If they're occupied you may hear those guests, and they may hear you — which is why quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM. Ask us any time whether the other units are booked during your stay. Cancellation Policy: We follow the cancellation policy in place at the time you booked, as shown in your confirmation. If there is any chance you may need to cancel, we recommend purchasing travel insurance at checkout. Refunds are not provided outside the booked policy for weather, illness, or travel disruptions. No Pets and No Smoking: There is a strict no-pets and no-smoking policy for the benefit of all guests with allergies. Any known abuse of this policy may result in a substantial fine. Outdoor Cameras: Security cameras are at the entrance to the house for your safety. They may be recording video and audio. Damage Protection: A damage waiver is included with your cleaning fee and covers any accidental damage during your stay. Intentional damage will be your responsibility. Please let us know of any damage so we can remedy it for our next guests. Rental Agreement: A link to our rental agreement will be sent to you to sign before you check in. You may also be asked to verify your identity. We use a third party for this through two-factor authentication, and we do not store any of your personal data.

Neighborhood
You're in College Place, a quiet residential town on the Walla Walla side of the valley — close enough that everything is a short drive, far enough that the evenings are calm. Lions Park is directly across the street, and it's genuinely good now: the $1.4M rebuild finished in 2025 added an inclusive playground, soccer and baseball fields, a fishing dock, a picnic shelter, restrooms and a walking and fitness path. There's a small creek and a duck pond. Walla Walla University is a five-minute walk, which makes this an easy base for move-in weekends, family weekends and graduation. Downtown Walla Walla is under 10 minutes, and the winery districts fan out from there. Groceries, Home Depot and Walmart are all within a few minutes. In fall the valley is at its best — harvest through September and October, the Blue Mountains turning, and the summer crowds gone.
